The Planetarium Science Center at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina (BA) is organizing the sixth Science Festivity. The Science Festivity is a huge public event that gives science a presence in the community and suits people of all ages and different backgrounds. Visitors of the Science Village will experience the pleasure of learning by participating in the various entertaining activities offered; whether with family, friends, or on their own. The overarching theme of the Science Festivity 2012 is “Natural Sciences: Earth and Sun”.
This world-renowned yearly exhibition at Museon provides a spotlight on the rarely seen wonders of the natural world.

This fun and interactive science exhibition reveals the wonderful world of plants and shows how they interact with people, animals, insects and each other. The exhibition explains how we user plants in our daily lives often without realising it, and how they are essential for the world’s survival.
Futuro Remoto 2011: “Journey to the Centre of the Earth”. From November 11th at Città della Scienza! Futuro Remoto is the Annual multimedia event in Naples visited by more than 60.000 visitors every year.
World Science Day for Peace and Development is celebrated each year on 10 November. Città della Scienza as an “ONG in relation with Unesco”, takes part to this initiative in particular for what concern Naples activities. The event will involve all actors (universities, NGOs, CVOs, etc) who work in international cooperation contributing to peace and development processes. The Day will have a particular relevance in Naples since it has been considered as a crossroad of different cultures and civilizations and the city will be involved in great international events, which will be hosted in Naples, such as the World Urban Forum in 2012 and the Forum of Cultures in 2013.
The Planetarium Science Center at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina is launching the Intel-BASEF competition taking place during March, 2012 in an open ceremony, where the event will be publically introduced, accompanied by success stories from the previous Intel-BASEF competitions. The Intel-BASEF is a competition where participants prepare a project or research, in any subject of their choice from 17 science fields.
The exhibition “The Black Dragon Song” (Singing Insects), produced by the National Museum of Natural Science in Taichung (Taiwan), will be on display from September 24th to November 30th, 2011 at the Science Museum, Crivelli Hall, Polo Museale of Camerino University. “The Black Dragon Song” uses recycled and recyclable materials and through multimedia such as animations and games, the exhibition will illustrate the ecological and cultural importance of all singing insects. The exhibition features hypertexts and multimedia files, which will explain how the insects’ sound production mechanisms
The Bibliotheca Alexandrina Planetarium Science Center (PSC) is organizing the second Women in Science Conference (WIS 2011) on 3 and 4 December 2011 at the BA Conference Center. This Conference is the first that the BA organizes after the 25th January Revolution to raise awareness regarding the importance of science and technology, and it shall also tackle the related issues of sustainable development and job creation. The Conference celebrates the centennial of Marie Curie’s Nobel Prize in 1911, setting Curie as a model for 21st century young researchers.
The Chairman and Trustees of ASDC are delighted to invite you to ASDC’s first Annual Conference on Thursday, 15 September 2011, at Eureka! The National Children’s Museum in Halifax. The conference is supported by the Wellcome Trust, and runs alongside the British Science Festival – just ten minutes away by train in Bradford.

Our food system faces many challenges and experts increasingly agree that a ‘systems approach’ is essential to guarantee Food and Nutrition Security (FNS) for present and future generations. But what is a ‘food system’, and what does the ‘systems approach’ mean in practice? A policy brief by the EU Think Tank of the FIT4FOOD2030 project and Ecsite member Museo Nazionale della Scienza e della Tecnologia 'Leonardo da Vinci shed light on these concepts.
In January 2016 we were entrusted with the conceptual design for the redesign of the Interactive Science and Technology Exhibition at the ΙΔΡΥΜΑ ΕΥΓΕΝΙΔΟΥ (lit. Eugenides Foundation) in Athens. The following year we were then awarded the design and build contract for the now renamed Κέντρο Επιστήμης και Τεχνολογίας Athena (lit. Science and Technology Center Athena).

The construction of the new Copernican Revolution Lab (CRL) will start in 2019. This new building of the Copernicus Science Centre complex will be erected in Warsaw’s Powiśle district in 2021.
The Rijks app has been a big success since its launch in 2013, with over a millions downloads and rentals. Awarded with the FIAMP and Heritage in Motion Award amongst others. In the beginning of this year, the app got a technical and functional make over by Fabrique and Q42 and started its second life phase.
Knights and Castles, our traveling exhibition that gives a bright look at the dark ages, has arrived in its second location, LVR-LandesMuseum Bonn in Germany. First location was Museon in The Hague, third will be Museum Het Valkhof Nijmegen. After that it will continue on its tour through Europe, and by doing so, it symbolically links the life of people in today’s Europe to their shared medieval history.
Medieval characters, contemporary look
Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls: the circus is coming to town! When commissioned to reimagine the kids’ gallery for Ciência Viva – an interactive science-and-technology centre in Lisbon – NorthernLight created a vibrant, colourful playscape reminiscent of the circus. Bold graphics, bright hues, dazzling lights and kaleidoscopic mirrors invite kids to perform and play, while reconnecting parents to their childhood memories. The discovery of a park meets the emotion of a circus: you can almost smell the nostalgic wafts of popcorn, candyfloss and caramel.
In February 2017 we were entrusted to design, develop and fabricate hands-on exhibits for the Children‘s Gallery and the Natural History Hall at the new Royal Alberta Museum (RAM). Since reopening on October 3, 2018, the new Royal Alberta Museum is now the largest museum in Western Canada at 39,000 sqm, with 7,000 sqm of exhibition space.
