Wellcome Genome Campus - Connecting Science

The Wellcome Genome Campus is home to 2000 researchers, scientists, bioinformaticians, software and support staff working at the forefront of genomics and biodata. The campus hosts the world renowned Wellcome Sanger Institute and European Bioinformatics Institute and made the largest single contribution to the International Human Genome Project.

Alongside the research mission sits a comprehensive public, education and training programme - backed up by a culture of openness and inclusivity. The teams within Wellcome Genome Campus Connecting Science bring the science and people across the campus together with external communities - from the general public through to special interest groups. We engage with tens of thousands of people across the globe every year driven by a simple mission to ensure our science translates into tangible societal benefits through involvement of all stakeholders along the way.
