Catalyst is a brand-new programme supporting Ecsite members to strengthen their organisations, capacity & collaboration​.​ Practical tools with real impact.

Developed in response to the feedback from the 2025 Member Survey and face-to-face member calls, Catalyst activities include a brand new Leadership programme, a Revenue & Cost Management webinar seriesSpace & Astronomy Resources, an EU Projects Exchange and revenue & costs focus at the CEO Focus and Marketing Focus - all starting in the first half of 2026. Read on for more information and get involved!

An Exhibition Development Exchange, and Expanded and Updated MarketPlace and Artificial Intelligence activities will follow in the second half of 2026.

The Ecsite Leadership Programme

The brand new Ecsite Leadership programme is a 14 month Programme developed specifically for Ecsite members together with a renowned University. 

It represents a valuable investment in both individuals and organisations. By supporting emerging and established professionals to strengthen their leadership capabilities, members can help cultivate confident decision-makers, inspire innovation, and ensure their institutions remain resilient in a rapidly evolving landscape.

This Ecsite initiatives is not only a commitment to personal growth, but also a strategic step toward shaping the future of the wider Ecsite network and science engagement field. 


Revenue & Cost Management webinar series

This series is designed to support Ecsite members through current organisational business challenges.

We will provide knowledge & peer to peer sharing to help members facing funding cuts, rising costs and employment challenges.

These webinars are suitable and open to employees of all Ecsite member organisations across different multiple departments. 


Space & Astronomy Resources

ESO Supernova has long been a member of Ecsite. The European Southern Observatory (ESO) is the intergovernmental astronomical research organisation.


Thanks to the team at ESO Supernova, in 2026 we will be providing curated resources which are free to use in any Museums or Science Centres, Q&As with scientists for staff of member organisations and much more.


Resources will take the form of Planetarium films, photos, interpretation and even communication materials.


EU Projects Exchange

Are you great at securing EU Funded projects? Would you like to invite other Ecsite members to join you in a proposal?

Let us know and we'll facilitate the rest!

We will run a call with the Ecsite members for your specific project, set up a meeting for you and keep our fingers crossed for a successful outcome!
