Pre-Conference workshop
Equity & Inclusion

This one-day workshop is targeted at colleagues who are interested in advocating and implementing strategies to become a diverse and inclusive science engagement organisation, but do not know where to start or how to put their current projects in to practice. The workshop will offer tools and experiences, and build a community of support. The working group Equity@Ecsite, aka DiverSci, will lead this workshop and provide a roadmap based on the EDI framework that has already been developed. A number of Pioneer institutions (those involved in the project) will provide their insights and learnings to model how to move forward on the often bumpy journey towards and with an EDI plan.

The format of the workshop will be highly interactive and will support trustful peer learning for participants from all professional levels. It is an outcome of the Equity@Ecsite grant and a contribution to further advancement of an important strategic commitment within the Ecsite community.
