Ecsite is looking for a company (individual consultant or a company) to work with us in producing a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) for the EU project SISCODE.
SISCODE project will be soon publishing a MOOC on the use of co-creation and design methodologies in policymaking.
Different partners have started their round of co-creation workshops involving policymakers
In Copenhagen, SISCODE met Danish policymakers and reflected on Citizen engagement
What does SISCODE really mean when talking about co-creation?
SISCODE has approximately 17 partners across 13 EU countries. It is a wide and varied project with many partners having their own specific focus. It is a project that has a system of 10 city labs who are all practising co-creation in different settings to provide the project with a better understanding of the drivers and barriers of co-creation. There are also other partners focusing their attention more towards bridging the gap between co-creation and policymaking. It might be difficult to keep up, so we have decided to kick off a View from the Partners.
On 23 May, Her Majesty Queen Silvia of Sweden visited Science Gallery Dublin (SGD) – one of SISCODE’s labs that are bringing together local stakeholders to practice and use co-creation to tackle a specific societal challenge. For the past few months SGD have been running multiple workshops, unifying professionals and young people to take part in the mental health and wellbeing management project, OPEN MIND.
The role citizens should play in science policy is a large piece in the puzzle of science-society relations. More and earlier involvement from citizens and stakeholders in science and innovation has achieved increased currency within the Horizon 2020 research and innovation framework, and co-creation methodologies stand out as an important part of these concepts. SISCODE seeks to help these methodologies be researched further, paving the way for their adoption in the next Horizon Europe framework.
University College London produced a document outlining the RRI Research Landscape so the future of co-creation can be more defined for SISCODE and other EU projects.
