Organized by Goethe-Institut (GI) in partnership with the Planetarium Science Center (PSC) of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina (BA), and the Academy for Scientific Research and Technology (ASRT). The Science Film Festival is a celebration of science communication in Southeast Asia, North Africa and the Middle East, produced by the Goethe-Institut, Germany´s Cultural Institute operating worldwide.
The PSC is organizing its tenth science festivity under the overarching theme of “Health”.. The PSC has implemented its first Science Festivity in 2007, and it has developed and expanded to be one of the highlights scientific annual events in Alexandria governorate, aiming to further expand geographically to be a national event for all Egyptians.Science Festivity 2016 will celebrate its tenth anniversary. The festivity has been expanding and gaining popularity over the 10 years.
Maker Faire UK is the greatest show (and tell) on Earth! It’s a two day family friendly festival of invention and creativity, bringing together over 300 hackers, crafters, coders, DIYers and garden shed inventors from across the globe.
The Planetarium Science Center is organizing a one day festivity to celebrate the International Year of Light as declared by the UNESCO to be this year, 2015. The day will highlight the famous ancient scientist, Ibn Al-Haytham, and his contributions in the fields of optics and light.
The Planetarium Science Center (PSC) at Bibliotheca Alexandrina (BA) is organizing the Ninth Science Festivity under the overarching theme of Nature and its four elements: Air, Water, Earth and Fire; and what is their influence on our planet.
The two-day event consists of a variety of extracurricular activities including plenary sessions, hands-on workshops, interactive exhibits, in addition to the always intriguing Super Science Show. With this Festivity, we aim to communicate science to people of all ages and backgrounds.
In cooperation with The Bibliotheca Alexandrina, Planetarium Science Center and with the support of Mercedes-Benz as the main sponsor, the Goethe-Institut Alexandria presents the Science Film Festival 2014 in The Bibliotheca Alexandrina from 4-11 November 2014. The Science Film Festival, initiated by the Goethe-Institut in 2005, is a celebration of science communication. Targeting a young audience with excitingly well-designed science content, the Science Film Festival has grown considerably, becoming the largest event of its kind worldwide.
The Science Festivity comprises a Science Village built on the BA Plaza, where various workshops and activities, prepared by school students under the supervision of their teachers and university students, are displayed.
The Planetarium Science Center (PSC) at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina (BA) is organizing the seventh Science Festivity under the overarching theme of “Natural Hazards”. The Festivity aims to advance and share the knowledge of hazards mitigation and disaster preparedness, response, and recovery. Increasing public awareness of natural hazards risk shall significantly reduce the risks of the death, injury, economic cost, and destruction of natural and cultural resources caused by natural disasters.
Science and Technology Week is one of the largest science communication events in the Czech Republic, which presents the latest scientific achievements and current research approaches. Science and Technology Week is organized by the Centre of Administration and Operation of Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic and is held annually at the beginning of November. The Science and Technology Week take place in aproximately in 15 cities in the Czech Republic: for example Prague, Brno, Ceské Budejovice, Olomouc and Ostrava.
Organised by Les Atomes crochus, L’île logique and Traces, this 1st Science Clowns event (“Des Clowns et des Sciences”) will offer audiences a set of clown conferences and shows on science in various prestigious venues in Paris, France. A conference will take place in parallel for scientists, explainers and professional clowns to explore their respective universes.

From 3 to 9 December 2023, Universcience organised, in partnership with the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs and in scientific partnership with the French National Institute for Sport, Expertise and Performance (INSEP), the fourth edition of the residency for young international scientific talent, dedicated to the theme of "sport & science" for this Olympic year. This residency was officially certified “Cultural Olympiad” by Paris 2024.
