Currently, many exciting stations await our visitors at the MusiKUSS hands-on exhibition: People can try, how sound is propagated or discover how hearing and singing actually work! Visitors paint their own piece of music with Kandinsky's colors or write their names with Mozart's music! The Science Fair is the largest popular science event in the Czech Republic, which has been organized annually since 2015 by the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic. It shows science in all its forms and offers to visitors the most interesting things from the world of natural, technical, humanities and social sciences. Visitors will experience science first-hand through interactive exhibits, models, mobile laboratories and practical workshops.

National Geographic Planet or Plastic

Until spring 2021, National Geographic - Planet or Plastic is the theme of the National Geographic photo exhibition. It shows a collection of journalistic photographs about the production of plastic, via its use until the stage of litter. Artistic photographs will also be on display, drawing attention to the scale and sad effects of our use of plastic. The exhibition also shows photographs of scientific research of the plastic problem and the search for solutions to the pollution of the oceans.

Make, investigate and celebrate Christmas at Life with all the family.

Included in your science centre ticket are festive-themed Science Theatre shows, making Christmas decorations, coding Christmas tree light patterns and investigating the properties of fake snow.

Visitors can even make their own ink to write a letter to Santa and be dazzled at Science busking Christmas demonstrations. (Some activities are for ages 7+ only).

The new Space Zone will show video messages, recorded by astronauts as they spent the holidays on the International Space Station!

The Beach, at Experimentarium

Experimentarium has re-opened its doors after a major refurbishment, revealing an impressive 11,500 square metres of exhibition space which includes “the World’s first interactive cinema", “an enormous roof terrace for open-air activities” and 16 interactive exhibitions. We had the privilege of working with the Danish science centre on the design, build and installation of their indoor water exhibition.

The next Ecsite Space Group Annual Meeting will be held at the ESA/European Astronaut Centre (EAC), in Cologne, Germany, on 8–­­9 December.

One of the goals of the space group is to exchange ideas and design collaborative projects among its more than 100 members, to better share European space activities with the general public.

The Space group is led by Marc Moutin, Director of Exhibitions at Cité de l’Espace, Toulouse, France; Ana Noronha, Executive Director of Ciência Viva, Lisbon, Portugal; and Maria Menendez, Head of ESA Corporate Exhibitions and Events.

The ExoMars 2016 mission will enter orbit around the Red Planet on 19 October. At the same time, its Schiaparelli lander will descend to the surface. Space Group pre-Conference hands on activities

The Colors of Cooperation” was the theme of Ecsite’s annual conference 2016 in Graz, Austria on 7–11 June, hosted by three Austrian partners: FRida & freD, the Graz Children Museum; Universalmuseum Joanneum; and ScienceCentre-Netzwork.

The Space Group workshop “Space for Life - Develop and share resources”, organised by ESA, Ecsite and the co-chairs of the Space Group, was held on 7–8 June at the Graz Art Museum, Kunshtaus.

The Space Group workshop “Space for Life - Develop and share resources”, organised by ESA and Ecsite will take place on 7–8 June at the Graz Art Museum, Kunshtaus. It will include a presentation of ESA highlights 2016-2018 and space news from the Austria Space Agency. Representatives of science centres and museums will work together on three pilot projects that will be developed with the support of ESA and shared within the Ecsite network during the next years. ESA will also be present at the Business Bistro. ESA will have a very special guest this year, Jean François Clervoy,who will take part in the preconference workhop and we'll be the main speaker at the session "Cooperation in the Space: the ISS"
