Job: Engagement Officer

Now is an exciting time to join King's College Arts & Humanities Research Institute. Established in 2011 to provide events support to 11 world-leading research centres, the Institute's remit is expanding with the bold vision to become a leading interdisciplinary and socially engaged research institute for the arts, culture and humanities in the UK and beyond.

Under the leadership of Professor Anna Reading, the Institute will work across the Faculty of Arts & Humanities to deliver a rich and creative research and learning environment for staff, students and external communities. Through our events offers, brand-new engagement activities and planned state-of-the-art research space for project incubation and development, we'll spark fresh conversations, ideas and networks between disciplines and external communities.

The new role of Engagement Officer will be integral to helping us achieve our vision. We're looking for a can-do individual, who will support the development of a culture of socially engaged research and education activities across the Faculty and beyond. Alongside coordinating the Institute's events programme, the postholder will help us establish deep roots in partner communities, forging research and education collaborations that generate positive impact. We're particularly interested in engaging those voices marginalised in the arts, culture and humanities, and will be targeting elements of our work at small-scale civil society organisations and communities of interest.

As well as overseeing practical project management and delivery of a range of Institute activities, the post holder will be well-positioned to contribute to the Institute's strategic development and will deputise for the Research Institute Manager.

If you're an ambitious individual driven by the difference that research and education activities can make to external communities, then we'd love to hear from you.

This full-time post will be offered on an indefinite contract.

More information on the position and application process. Apply by 14 March.
