The giraffe specimen from ANIMAL INSIDE OUT

Get under nature’s skin with this unforgettable exhibition featuring real animals preserved through plastination. From goats to giraffes, elephants to eels and octopuses to ostriches - embark on an anatomical safari exploring more than 100 real animal specimens. Marvel at the muscles supporting the neck of the 5m tall giraffe and stand face to face with an adult gorilla. Thanks to the science of plastination, invented by Dr Gunther von Hagens, each animal has been painstakingly preserved allowing visitors to see what lies beneath nature’s skin in intricate detail.

The Planetarium Science Center (PSC) at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina (BA) in collaboration with Intel Egypt is organizing the seventh affiliate competition, Intel Bibliotheca Alexandrina Science and Engineering Fair (Intel BASEF 2016) in all Egypt. The competition will empower Egyptian students ages 14 -18 to conduct a research and present their projects findings under 17 science and humanities themes. To enhance the quality of projects and expand geographically, the PSC is collaborating with the Ministry of Education to reach all governorates.

The Science Museum of Camerino University presents a real moon rock into the galleries of its permanent exhibition, partly renovated, on April 2nd, 3rd and 4th 2016 (special opening, 10.00 am to 7 pm).

The rock, collected on the moon by Alan Shepard and Edgar Mitchell during the Apollo 14 mission (February 1971), will be closely observed and photographed by the public.

Our R & D team decided that we should contribute our knowledge in this fight against the virus.

The result is the ventilator working in two modes:

Running exhibits remotely through www or mobile app

Almost 13 years ago the idea to put some of our exhibits online was born in Hiša eksperimentov. The goal was to have Hiša’s doors open even if the physical ones were closed.

Visitors can interact and take control of the exhibits through www or our phone app. Only one person can interact with one exhibit at a time while others wait in line.

The activity was officially launched in 2009 when the EU commissioner Dr Janez Potočnik started the very first online exhibit in Hiša from his office in Brussels.

University of Lapland - Arctic Centre 3 April 2020

The Arctic Centre of the University of Lapland seeks a consultant to conduct a study on alternative financial models for public exhibition organizations. Purpose is to identify and compare alternative financial and operational models which would decrease the dependency of exhibition organizations on public funding and that would allow them to keep fulfilling their public mission. The study includes the evaluation of possible required changes or adaptation at the structural and organizational levels depending on the organization’s status.
