The FEAST International Training is a five-day interactive and intensive training course that will include workshops, debates and presentations from experienced European trainers. The course will be organized by a group of partner institutions which are currently involved in the EU funded project FEAST (Facilitating the Engagement of Adults in Science and Technology, www.feastportal.eu/partners) and hosted by Science Center NEMO in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
The two day conference to be held on 17 and 18 September will be organized in the NEMO Science Center. This year we will explore two topics within the theme The State of Autonomy.
The Transnatural festival commences on Friday 7 September and presents an experience of innovation and a glimpse of the future with art, design, business and scientific examples at the NEMO Science Center in Amsterdam. The third edition of the festival has grown considerably since its inception. The programme comprises this year of a month long interdisciplinary exhibition, a two day conference and a weekend of music and performance.
This summer, from 21st of June until the 2nd of September, you can improve your skills in sports in NEMO’s new summer exhibition. Come to discover how you can become stronger, better in cycling, score goals, jump higher and improve your reflexes. Besides the interactive features you’ll learn all about innovations that help athletes improve their performance. Such as swimsuits that easily glide through the water, the most round ball in the world, a smart rowboat and a super fast racing helmet. In sports science is important. So come to learn how to become mentally and physically stronger.

Dutch science centre NEMO, Amsterdam, is taking the Ecsite presidency for a two-year term, represented by CEO Michiel Buchel.
This spring, all across Netherlands, hundreds of students competed with each other and with ‘The Boss’, a top executive of a leading company in the field of science and technology. Cleantech – The Battle was aimed to help students through debating to be aware of the impact of science and technology in our lives. It also aimed to inform them better about Clean Technology and why this is so important for the future. The eight nominated teams were selected from over 800 participants from secondary schools from throughout the Netherlands.
Science Center NEMO is happy to announce the launch of the ESERO website, www.esero.nl. ESERO is an education project of the European Space Agency. This new website is full of educational resources on space for schools. The website is targeted both to primary and secondary education. At the moment 16 teaching materials for primary schools are published. This amount will grow in the near future. The teaching materials for primary education come from the ESERO resource book previously developed by NEMO : “A journey through space in 80 lessons”.
