The Week of Science and Technology is the most extensive science festival in the Czech Republic. The 2019 Week of Science and Technology will run from 11-17 November 2019. We sincerely invite you to come!
The programme for the Week of Science and Technology of the Czech Academy of Sciences offers events all over the Czech Republic – in every regional seat and many other places.
The Science Fair is the largest popular science event in the Czech Republic, which has been organized annually since 2015 by the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic. It shows science in all its forms and offers to visitors the most interesting things from the world of natural, technical, humanities and social sciences. It presents science and research as a fascinating and essential branch of human activity. Visitors will experience science first-hand through interactive exhibits, models, mobile laboratories and practical workshops.
Until spring 2021, National Geographic - Planet or Plastic is the theme of the National Geographic photo exhibition. It shows a collection of journalistic photographs about the production of plastic, via its use until the stage of litter. Artistic photographs will also be on display, drawing attention to the scale and sad effects of our use of plastic. The exhibition also shows photographs of scientific research of the plastic problem and the search for solutions to the pollution of the oceans.

Make, investigate and celebrate Christmas at Life with all the family.
Included in your science centre ticket are festive-themed Science Theatre shows, making Christmas decorations, coding Christmas tree light patterns and investigating the properties of fake snow.
Visitors can even make their own ink to write a letter to Santa and be dazzled at Science busking Christmas demonstrations. (Some activities are for ages 7+ only).
The new Space Zone will show video messages, recorded by astronauts as they spent the holidays on the International Space Station!

Every two years, the Völklinger Hütte World Heritage Site’s UrbanArt Biennale® showcases the most recent developments and trends in international urban art. It is the largest urban art project in the world.
More than 400,000 people have visited the biennale since it was first held in 2011, and nearly 300 renowned urban artists, including Banksy, Shepard Fairey and Futura, have exhibited their work at Völklinger Hütte.
The exhibition Let's give the numbers! - A 3D journey through Fingers, Dice and Data: a fascinating interactive exhibition to discover the world of mathematics and numbers through games and stories. Figures, data, averages, errors, surveys, risk assessments: today we are called to deal more and more with the numbers and even if we can delegate these concerns to others, learning to use and understand the numbers helps us to orient ourselves in the world and take conscious decisions.
Game On 2.0 explores the vibrant history, culture and future of gaming, entertainment and technology through more than 150 playable games.
Visitors can play a range of games from arcade classics to modern favourites, including fun party games, such as Rock Band 3.
The exhibition also explores the latest developments in gaming, including how virtual reality is creating ever-more immersive gaming experiences.

The Planetarium Science Center is organizing the Mid-year Program for students of ages 4-16 years old, during the period from 29 January to 9 February 2023.
The program includes workshops, scientific lectures, 12D shows, and others.
Online registration will open from Tuesday, 24th of January 2023 till all places are reserved.

The second edition of the National STEM Community Fund has been launched, which will enable eligible organisations to carry out community-based STEM-related projects within the community. Organisations who engage with a researcher or STEM professional for such projects can receive up to a maximum of €8,000 per project.

The PSC is inviting all school students of ages 6-15 years to join the Summer Program, starting from the 28th of September till the 17th of October 2020. The program includes various activities, such as practical experiments, scientific contests. The purpose of this program is to emphasize the bond between students and learning by approaching knowledge through fun and games. Limited number is available due to COVID-19 circumstances.
