Creative Science Communication and Public Engagement will support you to develop your creative ideas into viable projects. The module will help you to devise and plan creative science communication and public engagement projects informed by and grounded in the key concepts, theories and research at the forefront of the field, as well as your own professional reflective practice.
Science Communication: Masterclass, 2024/2025, We The Curious
UWE Bristol's Science Communication (SCU) Masterclass is an intensive, short course (four days) created to provide professional development in science communication. The masterclass draws on the existing expertise of the team that delivers the University's popular and practical MSc in Science Communication.

SciComm Society is offering a free course to help you get started with science communication; discover ways to reach an audience beyond your peers; share your research in new ways that stand out; and generate endless SciComm content ideas.
Inspiring young people in STEM, anytime, online
The National STEM Learning Centre of the UK put together a series of four courses on the platform Future Learn. This programme aims to help students develop their volunteering skills and STEM activities for young people. Courses are free and you can join at any time. Science Communications, anytime, online
It’s a comprehensive science communication MOOC on edX - online, free and open to all. The course explores research-based, practical ideas and inspiring stories from the field based on conversations with over 50 expert interviewees worldwide.
Science Communication: Masterclass, 2025/206, We The Curious
The Masterclass has been designed for those with little or no experience in the field of science communication and would be suitable for practising scientists wishing to enhance the public engagement element of their research, science graduates interested in science communication or those seeking a career change, scientists/teachers of science seeking continuing professional development and people working in Research Councils with a communication element to their role.
The event is being organised by Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) ICT Champion Professor John Terry and his team based at the University of Birmingham (UoB). It is open to anyone studying or working in Computer Science, or related disciplines, who wants to learn more about public engagement in this field.

The Touring Exhibitions Pavilion welcomes museums and culture, heritage, science, tourism and leisure organisations and stakeholders, who are looking for exhibitions for their future programmes. A large friendly pavilion space welcomes exhibitions professionals for 2 days of exchange, conferences and meetings, followed by 1 day of exhibition visits.

Four Panel members working in community engagement in Africa and the United Kingdom will be sharing their experiences, challenges and top tips and having a discussion for the audience to join in.
Webinar: Race and Sociocultural Inclusion in Science Communication, 13 December 2024, online
The webinar, co-hosted with Ingenium, Canada’s Museums of Science and Innovation, is presented as part of the CIMUSET Special Recognition Award, which was awarded this year to the book Race and Sociocultural Inclusion in Science Communication – Innovation, Decolonisation, and Transformation, edited by Elizabeth Rasekoala.

The Science, Communication and Society Studies Centre at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF) is looking to add a science communicator to our team to carry out his/her doctoral thesis (3-year PhD position) in one of the centre’s research projects, focusing on understanding perceptions, innovating communication and fostering inclusivity in Cancer research.
