KiiCS is a three-year European Commission the European network of science centres and museums. It aims science and technology by giving evidence of the positive impacts of their interaction for creativity as well as for triggering interest in science.
PLACES is a four-year European project, started in June 2010, coordinated by Ecsite, the European network of science centres and museums (www.ecsite.eu)
The committee of PLACES researchers coordinated by PLACES partner Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona, Spain, developed the PLACES Impact Assessment Toolkit to measure science communication initiatives and policies.
When discussing emotive topics such as energy research, important issues arise around honesty and trust. In this project we will trial two different approaches to these challenges.

Several important events are taking place in Toulouse during the same timeframe as the Ecsite Annual Conference (31 May – 2 June 2012).
Participate in the International Summer School “NANOTECHNOLOGY: from fundamental research to innovations”. Summer school will be held in one of the most picturesque places of Carpathians – Bukovel, Ukraine from August 26 to September 2, 2012.
Participation in the summer school opens the opportunity for young scientists to listen to a series of lectures on the fields of Nanosciences & Nanotechnologies.
Scientists of worldwide reputation will share their knowledge and experience in the format of lecture presentations.
A series of policy briefs have been written during the preparation of Planet under Pressure conference. Specifically targeting policy makers in the Rio+20 process, they aim to give them access to the latest scientific thinking on sustainable development issues.
