The exhibition shows breathtaking views and beautiful panoramas of the most special places on earth. From the heat of the desert to the barren polar regions, from sharp cliffs to rolling hills. All the photos in recent years have been taken by the best photographers from National Geographic. With this exhibition, we not only want to depict serene scenery, but also the influence of mankind on the landscape - for good and for bad.

The National Geographic Photo Ark is a multiyear effort to document every species living in wildlife sanctuaries, inspire action through education, and help save wildlife by supporting on-the-ground conservation efforts.

Robots - then and now exhibition at Life Science Centre, Newcastle upon Tyne

Robots – then and now, developed by the Science Museum in London, tells the 500-year, work in progress story of building automated machines, from the humble beginnings of 16th century mechanical automatons to the latest humanoids – and everything in between.

The new exhibition is included in the admission ticket to Life Science Centre, along with hands-on zones for learning through creative play, educational shows in the Science Theatre and the planetarium, and a thrilling journey on the 4D Motion Ride*.

Hüttinger Interactive Exhibitions 20 April 2018

In September 2017 we were contracted to develop, design and fabricate hands-on exhibits for the new I Wonder gallery at Terengganu Science & Creativity Centre, Malaysia. Since opening of I Wonder end of January 2018 the new exhibits are in use.

This audiovisual journey is an experience in five steps; it feels like going on an exciting journey with friends, from the Heineken brewing and bottling process, to enjoying your beer all around the world.

Dare to Discover | A VR journey

NorthernLight has been responsible for the concept, design and creative direction of the interior, identity and Virtual Reality experience of the spectacular VR time trip ‘Dare to Discover’, which will open at the National Maritime Museum in Amsterdam this December. The VR can be seen on board of the VOC ship ‘Amsterdam’ and takes you back to the Golden Age.

KIDS AT WORK is a stimulating, hands-on learning experience for children that inspires imagination, curiosity, creativity and the love of learning through play, while at the same time providing a relaxing environment for their guardians.

NorthernLight Design 26 January 2018

The new travelling exhibition “Knights and Castles”, designed by NorthernLight, takes a new and refreshing look at the Middle Ages. As the exhibition will travel through Europe, it symbolically links the life of people in today’s Europe to their shared medieval history. The exhibition has been commissioned by Museon, LVR Landesmuseum Bonn and Valkhof Museum. Museon is the first museum to host the exhibition, in the autumn of 2017.

In November 2016 we were contracted to design, develop and fabricate two-thirds of the new interactive exhibits for the TŪHURA Otago Community Trust Science Centre, the redevelopment of Otago Museum’s former Discovery World Tropical Forest.
TŪHURA also encompasses the digitally interactive Beautiful Science Gallery, the Perpetual Guardian Planetarium and the refreshed Tropical Forest butterfly house.
TŪHURA inspires curiosity and encourages the next generation of young New Zealanders to take an interest in the world around them, since its opening in December 2017.

OliOli is the brainchild of parents who are passionate about positive play and the power of imagination. OliOli is the Hawaiian word for joy. Focused on hands-on activities that nurture curiosity, imagination and exploration, OliOli is an experiential play museum; with eight separate galleries spread over two floors. Each space has been lovingly and thoughtfully designed with fascinating art and innovative equipment, all inspired by ideas from leading global educators, development psychologists and artists.

After working successfully together in 2005, back then we designed The Green Cradle and The Dream of Space Flight galleries, we were now contracted to design, develop and fabricate interactive exhibits for the refurbishment of this exhibit area at Guangdong Science Center.

The remodeled and renamed Space Dreams & Green Homeland gallery was reopened to the public on August 7, 2017.

“MEDIA TELL THEIR (HI)STORIES”

Archimedes Exhibitions designs and creates a new permanent exhibition for the Museum for Communication Frankfurt.

Since the 10th of September 2017, the new permanent exhibition “MEDIA TELL THEIR (HI)STORIES” is open for visitors at the Museum for Communication Frankfurt. The exhibition presents the big phenomena of communication history in a colourful and interactive display, with more than 500 original exhibits on 44 thematic islands over an area of 2,500 square metres.

In January 2017 we have been awarded the contract to conceptualize, design and build Точка гравитации (lit. Point of Gravitation). Covering a floorspace of 600 sqm the Children‘s Science Museum is a dynamic learning space where children, families, and groups can create, innovate, collaborate, problemsolve, and invent. Through hands-on activities, they learn about: Mechanics, Mathematics, Magnetism, Optics & Light and Flow. Most importantly, they are empowered to construct their own knowledge and to solve problems in their own unique ways.
