About the theme

Cooperation is the act of working together for a common purpose or benefit. As science communicators, cooperation is at the heart of our work.

We cooperate within our teams, with other science engagement organisations, with stakeholders from research, economy, policy and arts – and, of course, with our visitors when we create meaning together.

Cooperation requires respectful relationships, negotiating expectations and roles, agreeing on compromises. It is often a time-consuming and laborious effort, yet it yields benefits that an individual actor could not have achieved on its own and may lead to unexpected results and learnings.

Let´s use this conference to cooperatively work on challenges and common goals while enriching our own individual palette.

Host

FRida & freD - The Graz Children's Museum

FRida & freD is a place for all children. With our programmes, we hope to enable children to learn about the world’s diversity and to better understand its complexities. Along with the contents of our museum, we focus on making sure that the young people who visit us develop into confident and responsible citizens who interact carefully with their fellow human beings and their environment.

Science Center Netzwerk

ScienceCenter-Netzwerk is an Austrian association furthering the understanding of and curiosity for science and technology by means of interactive science centre activities. These aim to fascinate, to motivate thinking ahead and to enable a casual, light-hearted access to sciences and technology for all ages. We aim to make such science center activities more popular, to spread, encourage, improve and investigate them. We achieve this by supporting a network of actors in Austria.
