Top tips from Clayton Cutajar

This month we are pleased to hear from Clayton Cutajar, Director at Esplora Interactive Science Centre in Malta, the 2023 Ecsite Conference host. Let's find out what keeps Clayton inspired:

Listening toIndie Folk Music. It is a music genre from the 1990s that mixes the acoustic guitar melodies of traditional folk music with contemporary instrumentation.

ReadingThe Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck by Mark Manson. As the author puts it, the book can be regarded as an antidote to the cosseted, let’s-all-feel-good mindset that has infected modern society and spoiled a generation, rewarding them with gold medals just for showing up.

Following – Todd the Dog (@toddaz) since I love Golden Retrievers (in reality I love all animals but my favourite are the Goldens). Todd is a golden retriever who saved his owner from the bite of a rattlesnake.

Things keeping me up at night – Most certainly caffeine. Occasionally, work plays an important role in this aspect too. I usually turn to Mindfulness techniques which have, so far, proven to be helpful.

Somewhere I’ve been recently – Recently I have been to New York to attend a wedding. I confirmed that it is a very hectic, yet interesting, city.

Somewhere I’m planning to go – I would love to go to Paris. Funnily enough, even though I have travelled quite a lot, I have never been to Paris. I have heard many good things about it, so it is definitely on my bucket list.
