How would you react in a high-pressure scenario with people’s lives at stake? ‘Rescue’ is a unique, hands-on exhibition that focuses on the science and technology of rescue scenarios and emergency services. ‘Rescue’ puts you in charge as you discover what it’s like to be involved in land, sea and air rescues. Take control of a full-size helicopter simulator to get a bird’s eye view of a rescue scene and use infrared cameras to look for heat signals.

15th International Course on Scientific Museography.

Thirty years have elapsed since ”la Caixa” Foundation’s Science Museum opened its doors in Barcelona. Following twenty-four years of activity and museological reflection, CosmoCaixa, as the museum is known today, came into being. Since then, it has received six million visitors as well as recognition from the European Museum Forum in the form of the European Museum of the Year Award 2006.

Join the Plateo-team! The Royal Belgian Institute for Natural Sciences is launching a crowdfunding campaign to mount and display a dinosaur skeleton

A 210 million year old Plateosaurus named Ben after its discoverer Dr. Ben Papst from the SaurierMuseum Frick in Switzerland is to be mounted and displayed in the Dinosaur Gallery of the Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences. The Museum just launched a crowdfunding campaign: join the Plateoteam!

Briefly, we use soft toys to teach the methods of scientific observation and morphological classification in a "learning by doing" analogy with nature and give tribute to the great scientific expeditions of the 18th and 19th centuries.

NorthernLight Design 23 February 2017

NorthernLight congratulates Digimagic Communications on winning the Platinum Award in the AVA Digital Awards for the E3 (E-mmersive Experiential Environments) exhibition, a project commissioned by the Science Centre Singapore. NorthernLight designed and developed the concept for this exhibition. Digimagic was responsible for the multimedia production of the project.

Experimentarium opened the doors of its new building on 26th January 2017. It offers 11,500 sqm of exhibitions in a new and spectacular architecture. The 2019 Ecsite Annual Conference will be taking place there!

In January our friends at Science Gallery International had an exciting, meaningful and worthwhile week in Davos, Switzerland at the World Economic Forum 2017. With the support of the Wellcome Trust, Science Gallery International partnered with the World Economic Forum to engage world leaders on how to enable young people’s creativity to meet the challenges of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. And it seems there’s no better way of doing that than with a Science Gallery exhibition!

Copernicus Science Centre 7 February 2017

Engineers and doctors came together to the Copernicus Science Centre in order to find ways of improving a medical procedure implemented by foetal surgeons to save the lives of babies with diaphragmatic hernia in the foetal period.

Participants of the hackathon, which took place on Saturday, November 26, 2016, had to deal with a real problem, which is an everyday issue for Prof. Mirosław Wielgoś, MD, PhD and Przemysław Kosiński, MD, PhD from the 1st Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Medical University of Warsaw.

The Beach, at Experimentarium

Experimentarium has re-opened its doors after a major refurbishment, revealing an impressive 11,500 square metres of exhibition space which includes “the World’s first interactive cinema", “an enormous roof terrace for open-air activities” and 16 interactive exhibitions. We had the privilege of working with the Danish science centre on the design, build and installation of their indoor water exhibition.
