LAND OF INVENTORS – RESEARCH IN GERMANY focuses on world-changing German inventions across the scientific disciplines. The spotlight is on both historical discoveries and pioneering innovations – not forgetting to take a look at the research environment in Germany of course.
The exhibition hosted by the Planetarium Science Center, Bibliotheca Alexandrina in March 2021, in conjunction with the Goethe-Institute in Alexandria.
On October 1 and 2, 2022, Weekend of Science will take place. NEMO Science Museum and The Studio at NEMO are free to visit on these days.
NAMES 2018 Conference
The North Africa and Middle East Science Center’s Network (NAMES) was launched on 30 January 2006 at the Library of Alexandria. The goal of NAMES is the popularization of science throughout the region by enhancing public understanding and involvement in science and scientific culture among an increasingly diverse audience.

The Science Fair is the largest popular science event in the Czech Republic, which has been organized annually since 2015 by the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic. It shows science in all its forms and offers to visitors the most interesting things from the world of natural, technical, humanities and social sciences. It presents science and research as a fascinating and essential branch of human activity. Visitors will experience science first-hand through interactive exhibits, models, mobile laboratories and practical workshops.
Until spring 2021, National Geographic - Planet or Plastic is the theme of the National Geographic photo exhibition. It shows a collection of journalistic photographs about the production of plastic, via its use until the stage of litter. Artistic photographs will also be on display, drawing attention to the scale and sad effects of our use of plastic. The exhibition also shows photographs of scientific research of the plastic problem and the search for solutions to the pollution of the oceans.

Make, investigate and celebrate Christmas at Life with all the family.
Included in your science centre ticket are festive-themed Science Theatre shows, making Christmas decorations, coding Christmas tree light patterns and investigating the properties of fake snow.
Visitors can even make their own ink to write a letter to Santa and be dazzled at Science busking Christmas demonstrations. (Some activities are for ages 7+ only).
The new Space Zone will show video messages, recorded by astronauts as they spent the holidays on the International Space Station!

Elisabeth Rasekoala, Chemical Engineer, and president of African Gong, wins the Nat Award, granted by the Natural Science Museum of Barcelona, for her struggle in favor of diversity, socio-cultural and gender inclusion in the dissemination, learning and practice of science in Africa.

The species the world decided to save is chosen to star in the Natural History Museum's famous main gallery.
The exhibition, titled Oceans, the last wild territory, consists of an audiovisual tour of the seabed based on 480 hours of unpublished images selected from the documentary Oceans, the greatest testimony of the seabed ever filmed. A major attraction of the exhibition is a large curved screen that multiplies the sensation of immersion and so doubles enjoyment of this unique opportunity to directly experience the oceans of the five continents.
A 210 million year old Plateosaurus named Ben after its discoverer Dr. Ben Papst from the SaurierMuseum Frick in Switzerland is to be mounted and displayed in the Dinosaur Gallery of the Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences. The Museum just launched a crowdfunding campaign: join the Plateoteam!
