MUSE - Museo delle Scienze

Open in the mid of 2013, MUSE became an outstanding science museum both for the uniqueness of its building and the museolog. As research and cultural interpretation centre at the service of society it pormotes sustainable development focussing on nature in general, and mountain landscape in particular. Science and innovation are also at the core of its mission. MUSE is the very hub for conversation between scientists, experts, stake-holders, policy makers and citizens of any age, for interpreting and conserving nature and facing contemporary society challenges for a sustainable development. MUSE staff expertise in natural sciences and in science communication is recognized nationally and internationally. MUSE mission is to interpret nature, starting from the mountains, using the eyes, tools, and applications of scientific method and high quality communication. The current challenges are the content of the activities offered to the public. Scientific curiosity and the pleasure of knowledge are here stimulated, to brong value to science, innovation, and sustainability. MUSE promotes a dialogical, participatory approach for the sustainable development of the society in order to: create awareness on natural landscape and on the ethical commitment to preserve it; to connect local and global environment; to favour informal, playful, participatory and interactive approach with science and technology; to create awareness about the importance of techno-scientific topics for contemporary society; to connect science and technology to ethical commitment; to stimulate young people choosing scientific carriers; to promote techno-scientific curricula.
