Strategy & vision

Stay connected, learn about new technologies, adapt to agile project management, create innovative projects that drive museums further - but how? As museum professionals, we need to keep in close contact and practice life-long learning. With the new Erasmus+ short-time projects, European museums get the unique opportunity to fund international travel, trainings, workshops and meetings for their whole team. This includes everyone, from visitor service, guards, accounting, research or marketing!

In our session, we will introduce Erasmus+ and listen to different international experiences. We will get to know the application process for funding, and develop our own ideas for mobilities within Europe. In addition we will jointly collect ideas, tips and opportunities for international exchange, job shadowings and life-long learning in the museum sector.

Join us with your own ideas, dream trainings and tips for more professional life long learning in the museum sector!

Outcomes: what will participants get from this session? Skills, knowledge, experience etc.

Participants will leave this session with new knowledge about Erasmus+ funding and the application process. They will have learned about opportunities for training, travelling and exhange. After the session, we will share resources for writing an Erasmus+ application as well as a collection of the ideas and tips that were brought up in the session. Finally, the session will create a community of European museums who are open for job shadowings, exchange programmes and joint trainings.
