In partnership with UNESCO and ICOM, science centres worldwide celebrated International Science Centre & Science Museum Day on 10 November. We showcased our field's contribution towards the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Integrating children and teenagers in the decision making processes triggers their interest and makes them informed and active citizens. Hypatia believes in this and this is why the project has established various tools to involve them at all levels. Working directly with them is a core strategy of the project that has been extended to the communication campaign. We have created a rotating scheme of teenage editorial boards to give them a voice and why not say it, to help us communicate in a shared language and aesthetic.
November has brought falling temperatures and red leaves....And together with Autumn, November will bring to us the end of SeeingNano.
Our five science centres have done a great job that has ended with very successful final events to present the tools to more than 2.000 participants.
All the participants played with the novel visualisation tools the project has developed during its 2 year life. Games and apps were used during day long events devoted to the world of nano.
