Speakers' Reception

Open to all pre- and main conference speakers and convenors. Receive a warm welcome from conference hosts, CERN representatives and Ecsite. Enjoy a drink and mingle with other speakers.

The reception will be hosted at on the CERN campus at the Globe of Science and Innovation, one of CERN's outreach spaces. The building is a symbol of sustainable development made possible by science and innovation. Its structure is reminiscent of the shape of the planet, while its construction is based on the most ecological of all building materials, wood.

The reception itself will be taking place on the first floor of the Globe building.

Ecsite conference participants are also invited to visit CERN's permanent exhibitions (Microcosm, Universe of Particles) or the "IdeaSquare" creative innovation space, whose opening hours have been specially extended from 17:00 to 21:30.

Please print and bring the invitation you will be receiving by email a few days before the conference.

Dress code: smart casual.

CERN is on the border between France and Switzerland and it has two official addresses, one French and one Swiss. You are more likely to arrive from the Swiss side,
