A box. A button. Press it – and the show begins. Puppets, driven by an automatic mechanism, in short comic-like sequences, present important stages in the life of the late mediaeval Emperor Charles IV. The delicate puppets and scenery created by Susanne Jacob are reminiscent of the famous soft style of the late Gothic era, and at the same time of modern French comics.
In October 2012 we were awarded the contract to conceptualize, design and build the new permanent Biodiversity exhibition at the Hong Kong Science Museum.
By staging of this gallery, Hong Kong Science Museum wants to promote public appreciation of biodiversity and raise awareness of the importance of biodiversity conservation, and moreover wants to trigger proper lifestyle changes in the effort to avoid a massive loss of biodiversity. The Biodiversity gallery was officially opened to the public on September 2, 2016.
In September 2013 we were entrusted with the development of a master plan for the Tech Dome Penang, a hub for technology learning, exchange of ideas and a vehicle for improving scientific literacy and technology ability in Malaysia.
In May 2012, Hüttinger was awarded the contract for the master plan, schematic design, detailed design and fabrication of the Creation and Experience Gallery within the LSTM in Shenyang, China.
In May 2015 we were awared the contract to develop Tunnel Worlds, the new information center at Brenner Base Tunnel (BBT) in Steinach, Austria. Tunnel Worlds is an attraction for the local population, both as the starting point for construction site tours and as a fun, hands-on exhibition. The exhibition is structured on two levels on a floor space of 800 smq, including a real mine-shaft, many interactive exhibits which were specifically designed for younger visitors inviting them to actively participate as well as a section for experts.
In April 2014 we were contracted with the development, fabrication and installation of interactive exhibits and an indoor water exhibit for the Octopus Center within newly built Vanke Pie Shopping Mall in Guangzhou. The 2,000 sqm children‘s facility was designed by Blue Rhino Design and was inaugurated in the course of the grand opening of Vanke Pie Shopping Mall on December 25, 2015.
In July 2014, we were contracted to working out the conceptual design and to design & build an interactive exhibition for the newly built Sharjah Center for Astronomy and Space Sciences (SCASS) and its surrounding Cosmic Park:
