How to keep the flame burning and not to burn it out?
Our session is dedicated to all people working in museums and science centres who want to work on their motivation and take care of themselves. Together with participants we will have the opportunity to discuss different approaches to motivation and share our experiences. We hope to deal with the subject in an active and surprising way. Previous years have been tough for cultural institutions and their teams. We have learnt to live with Covid-19, but its consequences for teams are still present. People are tired, demotivated and then more crises are spreading worldwide. Those facts are causing people to become more reflective dealing with their careers. They are asking themselves about their role in the institution. Meanwhile, everyday chores are pushing away the employee centered thinking in institutions. During this session we will stop for a while and put humans in the center.
Outcomes: what will participants get from this session? Skills, knowledge, experience etc.
Participants will: be empowered to share their ideas of staying motivated in similar environment (science centres); do the professional exchange of experience; understand and get to know needs they have as workers; experience a safe space to share challenges in teams; get to know how to motivate themselves; get time to reflect on their situation; get to know and practice the new method to reflect on motivation.
