EMME 2015

The EMME Summer School is a training programme for science center leaders aiming to build the capacities of professionals working in the field of science communication in the Euro-Mediterranean and Middle East regions.

The 2015 edition is taking place on 5-10 September at Bibliotheca Alexandrina, Egypt - register by 31 July.

We are delighted to announce the start of the new EU project called Sparks. Coordinated by Ecsite, it involves 22 Escite members, multiple science shops, research institutions and European networks.

The Rhine-Waal University (Germany) is recruiting a Scientific Assistant Science Communication and the University of Western Australia a Lecturer in Science Communication. Respective closing dates 11 July and 22 July. Working language: English.

Which participatory initiatives have been undertaken in the field of synthetic biology (SynBio) so far? What is the impact of these engagement activities? Which roles do science centres play in the dialogue on broader societal implications of emerging technologies? These and many more questions were addressed in the session on public engagement with synthetic biology, which was held on June 13, 2015 during the Ecsite Annual Conference in Science Museum MUSE, Italy.
