Leading a creative activity – find your inner maker teacher

What characterises a good maker teacher and how do you plan a good Makerspace activity? This session will dive into the teacher and facilitator role in a Makerspace. As a maker teacher the focus is to facilitate your learners so that they can be creative and explore the materials or technology available in your Makerspace. You are more than a teacher, you are a planner, leader and creativity feeder. Take home tips from our speakers as they give advice and anecdotes from their experiences as facilitators. Using card games we will look at different learner types that we commonly meet in a Makerspace and discuss different ways to approach and facilitate for these different types of learners.

This workshop is for everyone who works in a Makerspace or is curious about the teaching practices you find there.
