Learn how to assess your organisation's digital maturity and explore innovative approaches to digitalisation.

A digital maturity model is not meant to be a checklist or a one-time exercise or application, but acts as a systematic tool to analyse continuously, improving processes, envision the future, and set benchmarks to achieve milestones towards greater maturity, scale, and consistent adoption. This workshop is an introduction into how an organisation might assess its digital maturity across six domains: strategy and governance; management; processes; metrics and reporting; tools; cultural / community conditions.

This exercise is designed to resonate with people grappling with digital maturity challenges of all complexities. By using a digital data maturity model and constructing innovative approaches, any organisation can test, learn, and optimise in plausible, possible, and probable futures, thus shifting away from one-directional data collection and use. Instead, the organisation may begin to develop the skills needed to allow for data to flow inside and outside of the museum. The organisation may learn from and build the capacity of adaptation and innovation by viewing data within a feedback loop and as a conduit to strengthen the nourishment of an organisation’s terroir. In this workshop, people will learn the value of using a business process maturity model to learn from the past, inform our present, and plan for tomorrow.

The workshop is made possible by the DOORS project - Digital Incubator of Museums.

This project has received funding from the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 101036071
