Quantum physics and technology, neutron stars and supernovae, Artificial Intelligence, death of brain cells…The mysteries of these topics provide compelling inspiration for scientists, artists, and the general public.

Through creative collaborations, three high-level researchers, funded by the European Research Council, have translated some of the scientific results into dance performances, contemporary music compositions, video clips, and museum exhibits.

In this session, we explore these examples from the perspective of leading scientists. Panellists and audience members will discuss ideas for collaborations between researchers and artists and ways that museums, science centres and other science engagement institutions can support such initiatives.

Outcomes: what will participants get from this session? Skills, knowledge, experience etc.

Participants from scientists about their perspective on art-science collaborations and discuss the challenges and opportunities inherent in these types of partnerships
