Reflection Tool for Responsible Research and Innovation Initiatives

The 'Reflection Tool' is for anybody and any team who wants to take action that strengthens Responsible Research and Innovation, especially focusing on actions that aim for irreversible, comprehensive, inclusive change to the functioning, practices and values of their institutions. In the GRACE project, this is know as Grounding Action.

How the get started? Print the worksheet in the attachement - or head over to the GRACE website for an interactive guide - and follow the steps to carry out a fruitful reflection and small-group discussion on vision, goals and implementation of the desired action, tackling questions such as:

  • What do you wish to achieve?
  • What will be your measurable success criteria?
  • Which stakeholders will be affected by your initiative and will you involve in the decision-making?
  • How will you plan the implementation?
  • What obstacles do you foresee?
  • Which resources will you need?

GRACE

GRACE is a three-year project contributing to the objective of embedding the concept of Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) in the European Research Area through the development of Grounding Actions in six Research Funding and Performing Organisations. The Grounding Actions should lead to institutional changes in these institutions.
