Time travel: the impact of bioeconomy for a sustainable lifestyle

Have you ever seen a wooden shirt or drunk from a cup made out of coffee grounds? This, dear participants, is bioeconomy. The session begins with an introduction into the field of bioeconomy, its societal relevance and potentials. Following this, we will enable you to ‘travel’ into the future and retrospectively imagine how bioeconomy contributed to a more sustainable lifestyle in the 2020s.

We will focus on successful outreach activities, how education was a driving force towards sustainability and how bioeconomy stakeholders contributed to driving the change through co-creation and participative approaches. Results of the discussions will be harvested and shared interactively with the whole group.
