Welcome to Porto
A Unesco World Heritage site awarded as best European destination, Porto is one of the most unique, old and vibrant historical towns in Europe. The conference will be taking place by the Douro river in a beautifully renovated 19th century customs house. As a harbour, Porto has been a cosmopolitan city and gateway for new ideas and cultures since Roman times. Today, Porto is the breeding ground for many of Portugal’s cultural and scientific innovations and initiatives. As your hosts, the Natural History and Science Museum of the University of Porto and Ciência Viva are determined to give you a flavour of Porto’s hospitality: get ready for exciting social events.
