A series of exciting new features are being introduced this year as a result of feedback received from previous editions' participants. Register by 20 April to benefit from lower rates.
Conference regulars, you think you've seen it all and heard it all?
In response to feedback received from previous editions, the Annual Conference Programme Committee and the 2016 local hosts are introducing a number of changes... here are a few of them.
Fresh ideas
Conference participants have been consistently asking for contributions from new speakers and other fields. Thanks to the “fresh ideas mean free registration” scheme launched this year, 15 “outsiders” will be contributing to sessions.
Helping you fund your way to Graz
We know that some participants face financial barriers. This year we put together a reader-friendly guide to help participants make the most of the Erasmus + programme, creating opportunities for over 4 million Europeans to study, train, gain work experience and volunteer abroad. A precious resource for all your professional development projects!
Connecting networks
Attendees told us that they wanted to meet new people at the Ecsite conference, but also connect with other "cousin" organisations. In 2016, Ecsite is partnering up with Hands On!, the International Association of Children in Museums. Meet new peers at the resulting pre-conference workshop, the thematic Children's open stage, and the joint Ecsite and Hands On! awards ceremony at the Gala Ball.
Better website and personalised programme
Feedback collected from previous editions indicated room for improvement on the conference website. We are proud to present a redeveloped and fully mobile-friendly web page, with a new personalisable programme function.
A sustainable conference
A series of measures are being taken to reduce the conference's environmental impact - more about it in our May conference update!
We will be monitoring the success of these changes: besides the usual post-event online questionnaire you will be meeting a team of evaluators conducting ‘snapshot interviews’ onsite during lunches and coffee breaks.
