On 14 May 2025, Ecsite members voted in the new President and Board of Trustees at the Annual General Meeting. Their mandate will begin on 1 July 2025.

We would like to welcome the incoming President of Ecsite:

Maria João Fonseca, Interim Executive Coordinator, Head of Communication, and Director of the Hall of Biodiversity – Ciência Viva Center - Natural History and Science Museum of the University of Porto (MHNC-UP) (Portugal)

And the following newly elected Board of Trustees:

• Stéphane Berghmans, CEO - Technopolis (Belgium)
• Stefan Brandt, Director - Futurium (Germany)
• Joanna Kalinowska, Deputy Director / Director of Development - Copernicus Science Centre (Poland)
• Iya Petkova, Director - Muzeiko – Children’s Science Centre (Bulgaria)
• Karin Skarek, Chief Operating Officer - Technisches Museum (Austria)

They will join the following re-elected members of the Board:

• Alexandra Burch, Director of Public Programmes - The Natural History Museum (United Kingdom)
• Hilde De Laet, Manager - Hidrodoe (Belgium)
• Tania Johnston, Head of ESO Supernova - European Southern Observatory (ESO) (Germany)
• Lisa Månsson, Director General - Swedish Museum of Natural History (Sweden)

As well as the following members of the Board who were elected in 2024 and will continue their mandate:

• Miriam Atienza, Content Manager - Ciudad de las Artes y de las Ciencias (Spain)
• Aude Bosquet-Barth, CEO - Cité des Télécoms / General Secretary - Foundation Cité des Télécoms (France)
• Mikko Myllykoski, CEO - Heureka, the Finnish Science Centre (Finland)

Current President of Ecsite, Bruno Maquart, Chairman and CEO - Universcience (France), will continue on the Board of Trustees, serving as Past President.
