Satrosphere Science Centre regularly claim that science is fun and engaging for people of all ages. Now we are putting our money where our mouths are and inviting along the older community of Aberdeen for free entry every Friday!*
Over 65s will receive completely free entry to the centre, where they can use our hands on exhibitions, see our planetarium shows, take part in workshops and watch our exciting live science shows and demonstrations.
We are currently hosting Mission Possible, a travelling exhibition on its only UK stop where visitors will learn about bioeconomy, and Vision for the Future, an exhibition created by scientists from the University of St Andrews in partnership with FifeX, which showcases cutting edge scientific research such as millimetre wave technology and how this sensing and imaging technology can affect security, the medical industry and how we study volcanoes. We also have two planetarium shows, We are Aliens, which explores the possibility of life on other planets, and Rocky Worlds which explores our solar system.
*Exclusions may apply for ticketed events and special events. Please contact us on 01224 640340 to check.
