There is something in the air, but is it love? Science? Or something else?
Join us this Valentines Day from 6pm with special guests Dr Margaret Ritchie from the Royal Society of Chemistry and and Dr Graeme Jones from Keele University to explore the science behind those amorous feelings, work out if you are single for scientific reasons and just what you can do to increase your chances of finding “the one”.
Dr Margaret Ritchie will be presenting “Scents and Scents’ Abilities”, an interactive look at what we sense and how it can impact on our emotions, while Dr Graeme Jones will provide you with a definitive scientific guide to a night on the town, including the reaction dynamics of that “boy meets girl” moment and in-depth alchopop analysis. With tongue firmly in cheek, prepare to be amazed and entertained in equal measure by science like you’ve never seen it before.
For loved up couples joining us, get that little bit closer as you take a trip around the stars in our planetarium.
With expert speakers, interactive demonstrations, free refreshments and a £50 voucher for a romantic dinner up for grabs: whether you’re looking for love or keen to impress your other half, this unique event is not to be missed!
This free event is for over 18s only and there is no need to book.
