The Annual General Assembly is the governing body of Ecsite. It is composed of representatives from Full Member institutions and elects Board members who serve for a two-year period renewable twice for a maximum of six years. The official meeting of the General Assembly is the General Assembly Meeting, often referred to as the AGM, or Annual General Meeting, which happenes every year during the Annual Conference.

In 2016, the Annual General Meeting (AGM) took place on 10 June, in Graz.
