July 2018 - The European Commission released its proposal for the Horizon Europe (formerly known as FP9) on 7 June 2018. In response to this first proposal, Ecsite has prepared a list of amendments in line with our Position Paper.

SPARKS

June 2018 - The current document's main objective is to conceptualise the knowledge acquired in the SPARKS project, in order to contribute to the development of a wider Responsible Research and Innovation governance framework across Europe. It presents the results of the empirical research undergone throughout the project with the purpose of measuring SPARKS outcomes. The learnings can be strapolated to other project on public Engagement and RRI.

Policy recommendations from the Sparks Project - Shaking up science and society relations

June 2018 - This document puts forth five key policy recommendations from the Sparks project. European, national and regional policymakers are invited to reflect on how they can be integrated into policy and implemented on the ground. The recommendations were drafted by the Sparks consortium and validated by 150 participants of the project's final Forum.

April 2018 - Ecsite released this position paper in April 2018, as part of the negotiations of the 2021-2027 European Union Framework Programme for Research and Innovation (FP9). It states that FP9 should push traditional boundaries and actively involve citizens in the science and innovation process.
