Science communicators needed: Global analysis of the science communication landscape

Ecsite, together with five other European partners, is working on the EU project GlobalSCAPE, which aims to generate a global picture of science communication. To generate this detailed picture we are seeking your help.

We are inviting all science communicators within Europe, but also in non-western countries and in regions where taking stock of science communication is particularly difficult, to take part in our global survey to share their experience of working in this field. Your response will be used both for academic research and to inform the development of global initiatives to improve conditions for science communication practice.

By taking part in this study, you will join a global community of science communicators, with special access to cutting-edge professional resources developed by the project. Survey participants may be eligible to receive electronic vouchers worth up to a maximum of €500 per person.

The initial survey will take you about 10-15 minutes to complete. After that, you will be invited to join a short survey every two weeks (which will take about 5 minutes each time) about the challenges and inspirations you encounter over a 12-month period.

JOIN THE SURVEY

Your responses will be used both for academic research and to inform the development of global initiatives to improve conditions for science communication practice. Participants will have full access and ownership of this submitted data, gaining a unique personal record of your science communication experience. After anonymisation, data will also be used for the research project. More information can be found on the GlobalSCAPE website.
