The 2018 edition of Europe's biggest annual environment conference took place from 21-25 May on the theme "Green Cities for a Greener Future”.

The aim of the event was to promote and showcase participatory approaches to urban development, networking schemes, and tools for sharing best practices, engaging citizens and local authorities, and encouraging them to share their vision of a sustainable future, while also highlighting policy developments on air quality, noise, waste and water management.

Different events have been organized all around Europe, such as a high-level conference in Brussels, and many partner events organized by national and local stakeholders in the month leading up to the actual Week so from 21 April until 10 June 2018, where the topic was based on the EU Green Week 2018 theme.
