Erasmus+ funding for Ecsite 2015 and 2016: New deadline > 24 March 2014

In past years, individual conference participants were able to apply for a Grundtvig Grant to cover costs for the Ecsite Annual Conference. This Grundtvig Grant no longer exists – it has been incorporated into the new Erasmus+ funding model.

What does this mean to you?

  • No funds are available for the the Ecsite Annual Conference 2014
  • For future conferences, only institutions can apply for funds, not individual participants. As an individual participant, you must ask your institution for an application. An institution can apply for funds for up to 20 employees.
  • Funds for the Ecsite Annual Conference would be taken from the “Key Action 1 – Mobility of Individuals ” (KA1) section of the Erasmus+ Programme
  • There is no longer a database of offered and supported courses by the programme. Institutions can apply for funding on any course or activity.
  • Travelling costs and 70 EUR a day of course fees can be funded – down from 150 EUR a day under Grundtvig.
  • In the new programme, also courses of 2-days are funded. In the past the minimum duration of a course was 5 days
  • To apply, institutions must contact their National Agency or the Executive Agency (EACEA) in Brussels: http://ec.europa.eu/programmes/erasmus-plus/national-agencies_en.htm
  • Deadlines for institutions to apply for funding for the Ecsite Annual Conference in 2015 and 2016 is 24 March 2014

The Ecsite Annual Conference 2015 takes place in Trento, Italy, from 11-13 June, the one of 2016 in Graz, Austria.
