Call for Third Parties: Join EU H2020 proposal on science education outside the classroom

The aim of the project is to set the pathway toward a standard-based approach to assess the impact of out of school activities and to support their adoption by educational systems by demonstrating ways to reduce the constrains presented by traditional approaches and finally to deliver a set of guidelines for the educational community to further explore and exploit the unique benefits of the proposed approach in science education and the development of the science capital of our communities.

The assessment approach will assess a broad range of abilities necessary for deeper learning with standardized scales. The objective of the assessment is to ensure a continued learning process based on the deeper learning paradigm that addresses not just intellectual abilities but also motivational abilities. The project will emphasize strong innovative character that leads to a challenging evaluation procedure. Innovative assessment instruments that allow to universally assess all essential abilities that are central to deeper learning will be developed and the collected data will be used to create Deeper Learning competence profiles and, in turn, facilitate museum pedagogues or outreach teams’ evidence-based coaching, teaching planning and/or content delivery.

Ecsite will act as a project partner and a WP lead.
