In partnership with the European Research Council (ERC), Ecsite is offering the opportunity for members who organise science festivals to feature ERC grantees.
What are ERC grantees?
ERC grantees are leading researchers in their fields, funded by the European Research Council.
What is the opportunity?
Ecsite members organising science festivals can receive ERC grantees to present their research at a session, stand or any other way that fits the event, with their expenses fully covered. This is an excellent opportunity elevate your festival's profile to a European level. If additional costs are required for facilitators etc, this can also be reimbursable.
Who can apply?
Organisers of science festivals which appeal to a broad public throughout Europe and take place from late September 2025 onwards.
What do you need to do?
Express your interest to Ecsite by 23 May, detailing the topic of the event, expected attendance, and if available, a draft programme via this form
We will then present the applications to the ERC in June and feedback to applicants on the next steps if suitable, the ERC are looking for 4-6 festivals.
