Call for Contributions – Ecsite Space Group Online Meeting

16 September 2025, 15:00–16:30 CEST

We are looking for creative and inspiring initiatives to showcase during the Ecsite Space Group online meeting. Share with us how you’ve brought space closer to audiences — through education, outreach, exhibitions, events, or innovative tools — and help spark new ideas within the Space Group community!

Following a suggestion from long-time members, the Ecsite Space Group online meeting, taking place on 16 September 2025 from 15:00 to 16:30 CEST, was designed to keep the group connected, exchange experiences, and explore ways to further strengthen space engagement.

To this end, we invite Ecsite members and Space Group participants to submit a short (6–7 minute) presentation on a project or activity. Your contribution doesn’t need to focus directly on a specific space mission; it can also show how the theme of space has been integrated into wider contexts, engaging the public in creative and meaningful ways.

During the online meeting, selected contributions will be presented to an audience of fellow Space Group members, as well as Ecsite and European Space Agency representatives, providing an opportunity to exchange ideas and inspire others across the network.

Your presentation could, for example:

  • Showcase an exhibition, educational programme or public event that successfully engaged audiences with a space theme.
  • Share an innovative digital tool, campaign, or engagement activity designed to connect people with space in new ways.

If you’d like to contribute, please fill out this form by 24 August 2025, 23:59 CEST.

Up to 3 contributions will be selected based on relevance, diversity, and potential to inspire discussion.

The Ecsite Space Group, coordinated by Ecsite and the European Space Agency (ESA), brings together a vibrant network of science communicators, museum and planetarium professionals, educators, and space agency representatives dedicated to engaging the public with space.
