Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences with its two campuses in Kleve and Kamp-Lintfort offers an innovative, international environment combined with first-rate teaching in interdisciplinary Bachelor and Master's degree courses, mainly taught in English. More than 6,000 students are enrolled. The university is looking for support in its faculty of Technology and Bionics, Campus Kleve and would like to fill the following positions:

Full professorship for Science Communication

Your tasks would be:

  • Representing the field of Science Communication in teaching and research in the faculty of Technology and Bionics and offer expertise in the area of science communication practice
  • Teaching in the area of Science Communication at Bachelor and Master's level, predominantly in English (possibly also teaching in the evenings and at weekends), including supervision of theses
  • Research & Development, and applied research in cooperation with the business sector

Lecturer for communication Management in Science & Innovation

The module, which is to be taught at least in winter 2017 and summer 2018, is officially called "Corporate Communication Management, Governance and Controlling". The lecturer will be expected to address the increasingly wide spectrum of management tasks, from internal communication and knowledge repositories to planning and evaluating exhibitions and events, as well as corporate publishing, branding, and fund-raising, controlling and project evaluation.

Research Associate in Science Communication

Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences is looking for part-time research management support in their science communication Horizon 2020 projects (particularly "NUCLEUS"). This is a 30% position, i.e. should also be suitable for freelancers, and would mean roughly one day / week on campus, or two days every fortnight.
