The Facilitation Casebook: Sherlock Holmes investigates

Find this session's presentations here.

Join the Ecsite conference's very own Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson as, together with the audience, they identity, examine, infer and solve a series of incidents relating to aspects of facilitation!

Real-life issues will be put under the microscope as we work out what's going on, what's going wrong and how things can be better.

Holmes and Watson will be aided in their quest by colleagues from two Ecsite Thematic Groups (communities of practice): the Facilitation and REV groups who will provide key clues in the form of prior research findings and examples of good practice.

It would be a crime to miss this!

True to form, Brad will be the brilliant Sherlock Holmes. Taking real life examples of Facilitation practice, Brad will lead the audience in identifying the problems, investigating the causes, and deducing the solutions. He may, or may not, also wear the Dearstalker hat, coat and smoke a pipe.

Marjelle, as the indomitable Dr Watson, will help us keep our feet on the ground. She'll be the one checking on how we know what we know, and what the solutions mean in practice. As chair of the REV (Research and Evaluation) group, Marjelle will be bringing plenty of experience from researching interesting cases of her own!
