We The Curious

We The Curious, (formerly At-Bristol Science Centre) a landmark Millennium project and registered charity, brings science and the arts to life in a united culture of curiosity on the stunning waterfront location of Bristol’s historic Harbourside. The vision of We The Curious is to create ‘a culture of curiosity’. Science is at the heart of the organisation, but We The Curious takes an increasingly multi-disciplinary and participatory approach embracing science and the arts, promoting one culture with curiosity at its core. Two floors of interactive exhibits and experiences are complemented by facilitated spaces – Live Lab, the Greenhouse, the Kitchen and the Tinkering Space where visitors take part in hands-on experiments led by the Live Science Team. Presenter-led shows are the preferred approach to maximise the impact of the UK’s only 3D planetarium. Science shows inspire school and public audiences daily. Visiting school groups can also chose from a wide range of workshop activities and special theme days. ‘After Hours’ evenings are designed specifically for an adult-only audience giving them the chance to explore the venue and bespoke activities in a relaxed atmosphere with a drink and some music. At the other end of the age scale are the Toddler Takeover days – the name says it all! We The Curious also works extensively with the disadvantaged sections of the local community, welcoming them to visit free of charge during Community Open Weekends.

We The Curious …sharing transformative experiences that inspire curiosity and empower people with the essence of creative, scientific enquiry.
