CentroScienza ONLUS

CentroScienza Onlus was founded in 1996, on the basis of the solid experience of university professors, journalists and science museum professionals.

In the last 15 years, the association’s projects have expanded and diversified considerably. Today, CentroScienza Onlus is an actor recognised by institutions and the scientific community for its proven capacity to organise and run activities for the diffusion of scientific and technological culture: from the historic GiovedìScienza lectures cycle, in its 25th edition in 2010, to the co-ordination and promotion of all the activities of the Settimane della Scienza (Science Weeks) and the organization of the Brain Awareness Week, co-ordinated worldwide by the Dana Foundation. Moreover, CentroScienza is in charge of the organisation of events such as MondoBit, a cycle of meetings on ICT designed for the Istituto Superiore Mario Boella, works on resident and outreach workshops addressed at schools and so on.

Since 1997, CentroScienza Onlus has been member of ECSITE, the European network of science centres and museums, with which it has carried out international projects such as Decide and Places. Since 2007 CentroScienza is also an active partner of the consortium that was selected by the European Commission for the implementation of the Researchers’ Night in Piedmont.
