URBAN MUTATIONS

How and why are cities being transformed?
The exhibition offers visitors the chance to glimpse the many transformations that our cities are experiencing today: globalization, demographics, new technology, relationship with the environment.

Cities produce wealth, employment, connections and creativity. Their appeal means they are growing and proliferating. The exhibition offers visitors the chance to glimpse the many transformations that our cities are experiencing today: globalization, demographics, new technology, and relationship with the environment. These challenges to the urban ecosystem are drivers of change, initiatives and innovations that are industrial, political and citizen-based.

POWERED-UP CITIES offers visitors the chance to explore the complexity of urban systems. It is a composition of small “snapshots” of cities that gives a perspective on urban experience and how the system operates.

URBAN LAND, an audio-visual display, invites visitors on a unique journey that makes observations and explores the issues around urbanization, through the visualization and analysis of urban data.

INITIATIVES AND INNOVATIONS completes the tour, presenting cities and their inhabitants, which are also drivers of initiatives and innovations in the face of today’s challenges.
