Inventerre

InvenTerre” invites your visitors, regardless of age or degree of knowledge, to “distance themselves” in an amazing journey to discover the fragile living Earth, as they never imagined it. They also learn about the mission of satellites dedicated to observing the Earth. Finding an acceptable balance between: human activity, quality of life and condition of the Spaceship Earth will likely be the main challenge for present and future generations.

InvenTerre is divided into three thematic areas:

1) "Spaceship Earth", promoting awareness of just how fragile our ecosystem is;

2) "Eyes in the sky", an overview of the major Earth observation satellite families and their roles as sentinels;

3) "CommenTerre", or the scientific view of tomorrow's observation systems.

These three areas feature various learning media: panel sequences, interactive terminals, audio kiosks and interactive model developed specially to involve the visitor in a quest for more knowledge about the Earth and satellite-based observation.
