Pre-conference workshops will be taking place on 7-8 June, and the main conference on 9-11 June.

Don't hesitate to arrive early or stay on: through the ScienceCentre Netzwerk a number of museums all around Austria will be offering a prologue or epilogue with free entrance and special programmes to Ecsite conference participants. All information here.

Travel

The city of Graz lies in the south-eastern part of Austria, within 300 km of seven international borders. It is particularly easy to reach from Eastern and Southern Europe. It is an attractive conference city for many reasons: its beautiful old town overlooked by the castle hill and clock tower; extensive cultural offer; emphasis on science and research, technology and design; farmers markets and culinary treats; as well as its excellent infrastructure of conference venues.

Graz International Airport is located 12 km from the city centre, easily accessible from there by bus and train.

Scheduled flights to Graz from: Berlin, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Munich, Stuttgart, Vienna, Zurich.

Accommodation

You can book your accommodation in a selected range of hotels close to the conference venues. Note that deadline for hotel reservations is 28 April and due to a parallel conference in Graz, it might be difficult to find accommodations in the city centre after this date.
